Frustrating many impatient dead pool participants, Amy Winehouse was released – alive – from a London hospital. Her hair is staying behind for further testing. Associated Press writer David Stringer reports.
Amy Winehouse was released from a London hospital Tuesday after an overnight stay to treat what her spokesman said was an adverse reaction to medication.
Are we talking like... California "medication"?
The 24-year-old singer-songwriter was discharged from London's University College after spending the night in observation, said spokesman Chris Goodman.
She didn’t really need to stay there. They just wanted to observe her behavior because it is so fascinating.
Winehouse, who won Grammy Awards and global acclaim for her 2006 album, "Back to Black," was admitted to a London clinic in June after collapsing at home. Her father, Mitch Winehouse, said at the time she had developed early stage emphysema from smoking cigarettes and crack cocaine.
Ugh. Doesn’t she know that cigarettes are out?
But the troubled singer was released to perform at celebrations for former South African President Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday in London's Hyde Park and for Britain's Glastonbury music festival.
Because there is no better way to celebrate a man who went from prison to Presidency (instead of the other away around!) than with mascara and crack.
